"Tu kabhi khush nahi ho sakta"

Of late, good things have been happening in my life. Recently, after my appraisal, my salary has increased more than what normally happens as per industry standards. I told one of my best friends about this and he said"So, how do you feel about it?" My answer to it was " Thik hai" . His reaction to this " Tu kabhi khush nahi ho sakta". He cited many examples of so many good things that had happened in my life in the past few years and said that no amount of good happenings can make me happy.
I dint react to it and let him believe whatever he wanted. Frankly speaking, he misunderstood the statement.I am happy with things but I am not content. That for me is utmost essential. Have you ever heard your parents say that your score is good. They will always say" This is great but you can still do better." It all starts fron there. The feeling is inculcated that you can do better than what you are doing currently. As you grow older, this feeling grows with you.
Let me tell you that whether it is work, money or life in general, you should always seek to improve because being content with things means you cease to grow. In my office, I have seen some people who are content with what they are doing and do not want to learn new things in life.BEING CONTENT IS THE FIRST STEP TO BEING OBSOLETE. A content person is like a cell phone. It may be the best model but it will get obsolete in no time meaning he may be insanely talented but there should be a zeal and an enthuziasm that shouldn't be eclipsed by past laurels.
So , all I want to say is "Life mein sukhi rehna zaroori hai lekin khush as in santusht nahi rehna chahiye"... Always strive to be better!!!!
