Somewhere between...

Between the shelves of the books in the library,
Between the sharpest minds, and the arbitrary,
Between the professor’s experience and wisdom of a philosopher,
Between a few privileged closed doors and many a ubiquitous dossier,
Somewhere between the novice’s quest and the veteran’s adage
It lies between the intelligentsia and ignoramus, we call it KNOWLEDGE.

Between the insignificant banter and a few cups of coffee,
Between the first few steps and the most coveted trophy,
Between the brain’s rational clouded by the heart’s desire,
Between odes of intense literature and a galore of satire,
Somewhere between the bleeding heart and the epitomic dove,
It lies between the infatuation and stark reality, we call it LOVE.

Between the reams of a few statements from the bank,
Between the actual calling and the yearning for a rank,
Between the ropes of tug of war that the world often wins,
Between your persistence and the dark corridors of its sins,
Somewhere between what you are and what you could be,
It lies between compulsion, ambition and passion, we call it MONEY

Between closing your eyes and just before falling asleep,
Between the darkness and the shining light, the mind always seeks,
Between the heart’s beats and the voids in your thoughts,
Between your envisioned plans and its unfolding lie these dots,
Somewhere between your existence and the way you could have lived,
It rests unsure whether to sleep or wake-up, we call it LIFE.
