When you walk in, I am blank.
When you walk out, I am blank.
In between those moments however,
I change something in you, forever.
I am not talented, nor am I intelligent,
All I am is a lifeless white piece of cloth.
But I am the unnoticed interface,
Connecting reality to a dreams behemoth.
What I wear, dresses your imagination,
When I speak, I inspire a generation,
What I exude, become your trick,
What I hum, becomes your music.
I give wings to your dreams,
Bring out your whistles and screams,
What I do makes your heart,
Burst with emotion at its seams.
You get inspired, you get ideas,
I do make you feel, very nice.
I accept there are, ample instances,
When you want to harshly criticize.
The lifeless “I” turn blank again,
After putting you through joy and pain,
Be rest assured, you will never be the same,
As it is your sub-conscious mind, that I tame.
When you walked in, I was blank.
When you walked out, I was blank.
I am still the “lifeless” screen in the theatre,
How many like me have changed you for the better?
